Whimsical Friday: A Creative Mind

I'm a  writer at heart, but that's not my only means of creativity. I also love drawing and creating banners and book covers. I loved drawing a little kid. Who didn't. There was just so much that could be done with a red crayon. But as I grew up, I found sketching and drawing very relaxing. When I sit down to draw, the world around me disappears. A tornado could rip my house apart and I would still be sitting there drawing. Off and on throughout my life i drew. If I had a spare moment and had nothing else to do I would sketch something. I particularly like to sketch the things around me. Animals, kids and so forth. I also love drawing the female face and body.
There are so many intricate lines and shapes to the female form. Another passion is drawing other people, even celebrities. I have always been fascinated by Marilyn Monroe. She was such a beauty. So I gave it a try and sat down and drew her face. I'm not a pro, but I think it looks pretty good.
I also drew a picture of what I thought my heroine Missy Green would look like. I have one of her as human, and one as a demon.

So I decided that for today's post I would share some of my artwork, including some book cover art with all of you.

These are just some of the book covers I've created. If you're interested in having me create a cover for you check out my website at:http://sierrahartdesigns.blogspot.com

  2. Wow. You are quite talented :) Thanks for sharing your pictures. I love pencil art. It has a surreal quality to it. I actually prefer it in many ways to the photoshopped covers of the real pictures on backgrounds.
