
The BIGGEST time waster/evil necessity is spent on marketing. (I believe Editing comes in at a close second, what do you mean my manuscript needs edits? LOL!) While there are many different approaches to marketing, many of which have costs, many don't, I have my beliefs on what's most effective from a business standpoint, and what works and what doesn't.
Of interest is that while some of my panelists gave away free copies of print books, I had a minion SELL copies of my book. The right tactics and salesmanship will win over nearly any customer.
But we filled the room and managed to dole out sage advice from another combined 60+ years of experience. Gail Z. Martin, Kiernan Kelly, Stephanie Burke, Marianne LaCroix and myself of course.
