I thought I would open the blog up and extend an invite to everyone to come on over and in the comments section, share with us news on your latest release, blurb your book or tell about anything else you would like to promote.
It isn't purely altruistic, I follow a lot of blogs out of genuine interest, but it is becoming challenging to keep up with everyone and I am curious to see what people have been working on lately and want to make sure I didn't miss anything spectacular!
Also, a reminder that we are now open to weekly book features. If you would like to be a Book Feature, send your cover (JPEG) link, book blurb and book video/ trailer to: apasuggestions@gmail.com
As well, I am looking to start the promo for Woman's Worth Promotions and if anyone would like to interview me or offer a guest spot on their blog, drop a line here: womansworthpromotions@gmail.com
So go on and give treat this post like your own Bragi!
I'll grab drink....
Hi there! Taking you up on the invite to promote myself! I'm currently working on my second novel AND I'm blogging about the process at "A Novel Idea; 365 Days of Writing." Follow my progress by subscribing to the blog here http://www.gwenmorrison.com/blog.
ReplyDeleteI'm also co-owner of Write by the Water -- a writer's retreat that offers writers a place of solitude to connect with their creativity, with guaranteed publication in the annual anthology. To learn more, visit us at http://www.writebythewater.com
I'm trying to write for the first time since Molly's death -- cleaning up a book for submission and trying to decide which of my publishers will be the best venue for it.
ReplyDeleteAnd, today is the release of It Takes Two, my third book in my Four Cups series with eXtasy Books. If you like the idea of falling in love with your spouse of 25 years this is the one for you.
I entered a short story contest at http://www.shortstorybook.net/2010/08/02/jealousy-short-story-contest/ My piece is titled 'Jealousy'. This is the first time I try something like this so please vote if you like it.
ReplyDeleteI'm also working on several books at the moment. One about social media, a childrens book and two romances. You can find one of them at http://www.textnovel.com under the title 'Twice'.
I also continue to manage http://writersandauthors.blogspot.com a website for people in the writing industry. I recently added some new facebook features to it including a facebook fanpage. It's nice to see that it's popularity is still growing after a couple of years on the web. I'll be launching an e-magazine downloadable from the site in September too.
Thanks for the opportunity to share this with your readers.
Hello! Thanks for the promo op--I never can pass up the chance to give a shameless promotion (gotta be honest about it, lol). :-p

PANDORA'S HOPE is my sixth published novel. BLOOD AND COFFEE, the first book to my erotic horror trilogy, THE DARKNESS AND THE NIGHT, received a great review in the December 2009 issue of Penthouse Forum.

Thanks for a chance to let you know what I'm working on. I've got 2 books out in my current Crystal Keeper Chronicles. I'll be doing an internet radio interview this week with Reader Views. Plus, I'm working on the third book in the series, and hammering out that first manuscript. My second book, "The Lost Secret of the Green Man" has been entered into literary awards including the Moonbeam Children's Book Awards. Will be waiting for the results on what happens.
ReplyDeleteHope everyone is having a fabulous summer, and looking forward to going Back to School in the fall. Oops. Gave away the day job. *wink*

Hello! Thanks for the opportunity. Right now, I'm deep into three things -- promoting my most recent release, Illusion of Night, my m/m fantasy erotic novel. So far it's received two 5's and a 4 review! You may purchase it here:http://www.liquidsilverbooks.com/books/illusionofnight.htm
ReplyDeleteI'm currently working on two projects and fellow authors, I need some serious pushing here! My muse has been very uncooperative lately. The first is a m/m contemporary paranormal, working title, The Power that Binds (I received this title as an entry to a contest I held) and another m/m fantasy erotic, set in the same world as Illusion of Night and is sort of a companion piece. The best place to get news about my works are at my blog, Black Satin:

One is my writers blog and the other my paranormal blog where spookiness prevails!! Talking about spookiness. I have just had an MS called Abigail Cottage accepted for publishing. It will be released around the end of the year and as my publisher is in the UK (like me) I can get it in the stores and on the shelves..yaaay.. Abigail Cottage was written by me over 20 years ago. Yep, you've read it right. 20 YEARS ago. Of course its gone through a minefield of edits and rewrites, as way back then I decided that POV and passive voice didn't exist lol Its a dark paranormal romance. I've incorporated my knowledge of the spirit world into the story and had to do research for the demonic side of the book. Mind you, I've met a few demons in my time. Married a couple!!!!
I'm excited about the book cover, so if anyone chooses to follow my blogs they will see a sneak preview of it soon.
Take care everyone. And be assured us writers/readers do read these brags. So keep doing what we do best. Writing!!
What a great idea. I am patting myself on the back this month, and would love to share.
ReplyDeleteSo, where to start. There's my agent's resubmission of my 2nd novel to some very interested NY editors... the final non fiction proposal on the photo essay book in progress, the sale of my 1st novel to a prominent international e-book publisher, the ALMOSt complete revisions on novel #3, the announcement of my short story placing in the top 10 in a Robert Olen Butler fiction prize contest, which gets me a wikipedia listing and a slot in the anthology.
Of course, I survived another summer and during that time, spawned a new offshoot of scratch: the writing contest. It's called Write by the Water, and is a retreat for all writers/ writing lovers.
Would love to hear your stories, and perhaps meet you in person, at the retreats, or at The Decatur Book Festival in GA over Labor Day weekend.
Best,
Linda Sands

I too am working on my latest novel, Family of Oz, which is the third volume of the Royal Magician of Oz Trilogy. I currently stand at 60,450 words in 36 chapters and have about 4-5 chapters left till completion of what has been a two year journey. Magician of Oz and Shadow Demon of Oz are doing well in the market and I am very pleased at the progress made so far with the third volume.
ReplyDeleteI also completed a major project to establish a new world's record for the most number of people howling at the full moon.
See here...

This was done as a public awareness campaign promoting child safety and issues surrounding this topic.
Several book signings, Wizard of Oz festivals and even a magic convention are in the near future for the Royal Magician of Oz Trilogy.
